Look back to the year 2018!

The year 2018 had a fair share of both its highs and lows and as we come to the end we are glad that you took the journey round the sun with us.

Despite the harsh economic times, that hit mist businesses hard, you survived and chose to be with us over the others. We say thank you for believing in us.

As a business, a lot has happened so much that we still can’t settle for one great moment. Therefore, we’ve decided to reflect on a whole bunch of them.

Take a look at the achievements that made it a remarkable 365 days, well lets just say 354 days. We are looking forward to doing even more in 2019!

//We had over 50 companies join our community which was quite a great milestone, making us home to over 200 companies on both our locations.

//This year we opened our doors to over 500 members daily on both locations and we can’t thank you enough.

// 2018 saw us add in a new product to our packages; the Club Space, a very affordable package that gives you the opportunity to work from a space when convenient for you, hold meetings and network with many like-minded people for as low as KES 4500.

// We had great companies join our ever-growing community from ALX, a leadership accelerator by Africa Leadership University that empowers high-potential graduates and career-starters by setting you up with the skills and tool-set to launch your career to MEST Africa, an incubator that offers graduate-level entrepreneurial training in business, communications and software development, including extensive hands-on project work, culminating in a final pitch and the chance to receive seed funding.

// This year also saw us open our doors to several International companies like MediaPRO a multimedia communications group in Spain.

// Companies like Mdundo, Terragon, Fuzu also continued to make us proud as they secured funding. Our old members i.e Twiga Foods and Branch also became serial investment beneficiaries securing funding from great investors like IFC and TLCom who is also a  member of Nairobi Garage

// Our member Terragon also acquired an Asian-based company and Fuzu, also expanded to Uganda in May this year

//We also had interesting people visit the space, from Dr Kiprono Kittony who hosted our After-Office Hours, (get the details here) to CS Najib Balala, Fred Swaniker, Founder Africa Leadership University, Paul Kukubo, Bitange Ndemo and many others.

// How can we forget taking networking to another level during the World Cup Season where we aired the matches for our members every single Friday. How cool was that?

// The year also saw a conglomeration of people from the Swiss embassy visit our Ngong’ Road Space and interact with our members.

// We hosted over 60 community events which was a huge step for us and quite impactful, bringing together speakers from across different industries and giving our members a platform to network with their peers and learn from the pace-setters .

// Apart from our own events we hosted huge events like DataHACK4fi, Africa Women in Tech, Grow with Google and we just can’t thank the organizers enough for believing in us.

// As the year comes to an end, we cannot hide our excitement as we look forward to opening our third location in the first quarter of 2019. Keep it here for more details.
