Earthnique which took the first place at The Pitch, got a funding of $500 and six months free membership at Nairobi Garage club space, while Dial A Pad which took the second place, got a funding of $200 plus Nairobi Garage’s three months free membership and the third winner who was Kilimo Digital pocketed $100.
Founded by Joan Karanja, Earthnique Shop provides hair, skin and beauty products from the earth (made from natural ingredients) and is designed specifically for the ethnique woman.
On the other hand, Dial-A- Pad, is an application created by sisters Faith and Linda Kimeu to improve the quality of lives of women by easing the process of accessing sanitary towels.
With the two companies joining Nairobi Garage Club Space, they will get an opportunity to work from a space that is convenient for them to hold meetings and network with a large number of like-minded people.
On normal occasion though the Nairobi Garage Club Space goes for a monthly cost of only 4,500 +vat – payable quarterly, no deposit required and an access of the space from Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
The CLUB SPACE is perfect for the professionals and business owners who would love to be connected to the Nairobi Garage community but really don’t have need for a full-time desk or office within the space.
For three consecutive years, the Kenyan Event has been held at Nairobi Garage and has seen hundreds of women converge to share ideas, empower and network. This year’s event was themed “BeBold” and covered areas of the next wave of technology including data science, Artificial Intelligence, Cryptocurrencies and cybersecurity.
