Our member, Tafuta Associates has been selected to attend Africa Management Institute’s Survive to Thrive programme and received a full scholarship for the fully virtual programme designed to help African businesses navigate the unexpected challenges brought about by Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Founded by Danilo Frison in 2016, Tafuta Associates comes from a Swahili word, Tafuta which simply means: search, find, look for or seek. The company is a boutique executive search firm that equips the most impactful companies in Sub-Saharan Africa with the best executive talent.
In particular, the company specialises in assisting companies in the African social enterprise ecosystem (social businesses, impact investors and advisory firms) to find the right executive team members.
AMI’s Survive to Thrive programme will train two participants from Tafuta Associates through a number of modules delivered through interactive webinars and online resources and will provide practical tools and the opportunity to network with other African businesses.
The participants will learn how to plan for and cope with a range of challenges like reduced revenue and cash flow, supply chain disruptions, remote staff, and shifting business strategies.
The programme covers a range of topics, from scenario planning, cash-flow forecasting and cost management, through to opportunity identification and leading during uncertainty. AMI will also help participants develop the habits and practices that will set them up to thrive, once the crisis starts to ease.
Conducted fully online, through interactive webinars, online courses, practical tools, the programme also offers plenty of opportunities to interact and brainstorm with other business owners across the continent.
AMI’s goal is to equips small and medium businesses across the continent with the tools and skills they need not just to survive Covid-19, but eventually, to thrive.
