Mr. Green Africa is in search of a Marketing Operations Specialist who can lead and shape their team based at our office space in Westlands. Mr. Green is a social enterprise that trades recyclable waste as a commodity with a tangible social and environmental impact. This position involves reporting to the CEO directly, our Marketing Operations Specialist will be responsible for leading the communication strategy of the Mr. Green Africa brand.
The marketing manager will be responsible for several office space functions including: managing day-to-day communication operations, develop marketing communications strategy and relevant content topics to reach the company’s target customers/stakeholders. Manage all published content (images, video and written). Monitor, listen and respond to users in a social way while cultivating leads and sales. Conduct online advocacy and open a stream for cross promotions. Develop and expand community and influencer outreach efforts. Analyze key metrics and tweak strategy as needed. Compile reports for management showing results (ROI).
Identify and improve organizational development aspects that would improve content (i.e: employee training, recognition and rewards for participation in the company’s marketing and online review building). Grow a ‘Mr. Green Africa’ community and increase engagement of all stakeholders. Analyze communication campaigns and translate qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising communication strategy, content marketing, SEO and social media campaigns. Monitor effective benchmarks (Best Practices) for measuring the impact of communication campaigns. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
The applicant should demonstrate creativity and document immersion in communication strategy. Exhibit the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound. Maintain excellent writing and language skills. Display the ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and video format. Should be a team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (i.e.: content development, creation and editing of content and online reputation management).
