GitHub is all about how people build software. With a community of more than 10 million people, developers can discover, use, and contribute to over 25 million projects using a powerful and effective collaborative development workflow. Developers from all around the world are building amazing things together.

On Saturday 22nd August, GitHub will be holding a workshop at Nairobi Garage from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Whether you’re a newbie or experienced developer, what are you using to keep track of changes you make in your code?

Being a great developer involves using tools that increase both your efficiency and effectiveness, come and learn how to use GitHub, this helps developers keep track of the changes they make in their code, store modifications in a central place and enables collaboration between developers working on the same project.

You will learn how to use GitHub to increase workflow allowing you to work more effortlessly and with ease using this tool. This is not an event to miss!

If attending you will need to bring a laptop and there is a entry fee of KES 400 which is payable via Lipa na M PESA Till Number – 763461

Moringa School HTML and CSS Workshop

Have you ever dreamed of building and running your own website but don’t know where to start?

Come to Moringa School’s workshop held at Nairobi Garage and they’ll be teaching you how!

They will take you from the very basics to the more advanced concepts, covering everything you need to know about building your very own website.

You will need to bring a laptop and download Brackets and an attitude to learn!

Firebase Hackathon

Are you looking to build your own real-time apps, join us and together we can build some of your very own apps from the ground up using Firebase.

Firebase allows you to build real time mobile and web apps in a matter of minutes using client-side code and a powerful API.

Firebase was built to make the real-time technology that power Envolve’s caht product accessible to developers, so that they can build their own powerful applications. It incorporates years of learning about how to handle real-time data on the web and provides a solution to many issues faced by developers.

This event takes place at Nairobi Garage on Saturday 12th September from 9:00AM to 4:00PM. You will have to bring a laptop and it is a completely free event!
