aD is incubated and supported by Code for Africa, and has a presence in Cape Town, Tanzania and Kenya, with members from across the continent. aD is developing an on-the-ground presence in Kenya to facilitate growth of the organisation in East Africa. aD wants to be the primary catalyst and change agent in the UAV-for-good space in Africa.
The East African hub will be managed by the aD ExCo Regional Fellow, whose focus will be on identifying strategic organisations, institutions, and individuals for affiliation/partnership, and then spearheading recruitment. Institutional partners are what will help aD build its member services, create credibility amongst funders / commercial operators, and underpin any advocacy/lobbying.
