As a Marketing Content Creator, you will leverage your digital marketing & content management experience to help transform the brand presence through creative content. BYON8 wants to make health content more fun and digestible.

BYON8 is a Swedish Digital Health company based in Kenya. We were founded by two brothers and their father in 2017. With +4bn people living around the world without access to basic healthcare, our vision is to democratize access to healthcare and make it a right, not a privilege. Our team is a diverse mix of doctors, marketers, designers, and developers with a passion for reinventing the personal healthcare experience.
Job Brief
Prepare Content Marketing Plan – develop marketing plans informed by the overall content marketing strategy that defines the exact goals for each initiative and identifies how the content manager will achieve these goals with content.
Manage Editorial Calendar – plan dates for creation, publication, and promotion on a content calendar enabling the marketing team to see at a glance what content is planned for the coming weeks and months.
Content Creation – establish & execute production workflows for content development, researching and writing content, sourcing photographs and illustrations to accompany written content, formatting content, and adding meta information.
Video production (Pre-Planning, Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Production) and graphic design include daily content from interviewing doctors, patients, and industry events that Byon8 participates in and producing video content for all marketing channels.
Editing & Ensuring Adherence to Brand Guide – ensure adherence to a common style guide, brand personality, and writing, and ensure each piece of content is proofread and edited before publication.
Publishing & Promoting Content – publish and promote content to the right people in the right place at the right time on our social media platforms.
Content Performance Monitoring & Analysis – monitor and analyze published content performance to inform future marketing plans and provide intelligence for our overall growth strategy.

What You Will Do
You will develop a content marketing strategy alongside the marketing head. Byon8 has so many stories to tell.
Can you help us to tell those stories to boost our visibility and build the Byon8 brand?
Some content will be technical – refining the ideas of the app and how it’s delivering quality affordable healthcare into compelling graphics, video, and text stories.
Telling stories in many formats will be your main goal – Video, PR, Blogs, Vlogs, social posts, white papers, testimonials, and other collateral creation – and getting those stories seen will be your second goal, so you’ll need to be pretty hot on social media and Search Engine Optimization.
You will also be required to support the Head of Marketing in delivering and managing events and other marketing communications actions.
You will be publishing and promoting content that achieves the goals set out in the growth strategy. You will facilitate ongoing content planning, managing day-to-day content creation, editing, and promotion, and report on the results of each content marketing initiative.
Experience developing content marketing assets that support company goals
Delivering video content including filming, editing, grading, and archiving.
Working on creative briefs and delivering content in the correct format for distribution
Proven experience creating a content strategy that supports overall growth/marketing strategy
The proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail
Exceptional time management and organizational skills, including the ability to follow schedules, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks
Experience adhering to documented standards for brand and copy, including style, voice, and tone
Plan and organize external photography and videography resources where needed on projects.
Increase in followers and positioning BYON8 as an influencer in healthcare
Increase in conversion (leads to sales in both retail and B2B from online and offline marketing campaigns and activities)
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Communication, Videography/Graphic design, Digital media, Journalism, or a related field
Understanding of animation, storytelling, and character development techniques.
Practical experience and knowledge of editing software: i.e Adobe Creative, Canva
Knowledge of Motion Graphics and skills in After Effects
Skilled in the use and operation of camera, lighting, and sound equipment
Able to deliver high-quality video, photography, and designs.
Creative thinker, articulate and persuasive, and able to communicate operational initiatives and outcomes to a broad range of stakeholder groups.
Good, creative, and confident writer, with high attention to detail in correct spelling and punctuation.
Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality control
Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively alone
Are proficient and experienced in English and Swahili.
Have 1-3 years of relevant experience.
It would be a bonus if you have experience working in a high-paced environment, i.e a startup.
