Our member, BYON8 a Swedish Digital Health company based in Kenya is looking to hire a Growth Manager to help define its growth strategy and execute a range of activities across the marketing funnel, user acquisition, activation, sales, and retention.
As the potential candidate, you should be armed with a deep understanding of user needs and behavioral patterns, as you will be working with engineering, design, and product management to design and execute growth initiatives.
You’ll be joining a startup with the ambition to truly make a difference by helping provide equal access to healthcare around the world. You will also have the opportunity to work with a talented, fun, and multidisciplinary team working out of Kenya and Sweden.

Roles & Responsibilities:
As the Growth Manager you will be responsible for:
- Analytics and metric design
- Ensure the right data infrastructure is in place to enable user behavior analysis, experimentation, and targeted promotions,
- Determine the key performance indicators and appropriate targets,
- Establish a proper reporting environment to monitor, analyze, and report on KPIs.
- Customer insights (qualitatively and quantitatively)
- Conduct qualitative user research to acquire behavioral insights and develop growth ideas and hypotheses,
- Monitor and analyze how cohorts of users engage with the BYON8 app, and uncover trends in terms of patterns (such as drop-off points) and underlying characteristics
- User acquisition and awareness
- Plan and execute innovative marketing campaigns across digital (SEO/SEM, social media, display advertising) and physical channels,
- Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on insights
- Build experimentation programs
- Run experiments, informed by customer insights, in collaboration with design and engineering across the marketing funnel (from awareness to purchase),
- Identify the most valuable tests to run out of a set of experiments,
- Determine how to design and run a particular experiment.
Requirements:
BYON8 is looking for highly motivated professionals with the following qualifications:
- A person with a mix of expertise in marketing, sales, and product development.
- A data-driven, product-oriented, and user-empathizing person.
- Someone who appreciates that to accomplish growth, you must balance science with art.
- A person with a build-measure-learn mindset and is a team-player at heart.
- A numbers person, who likes to look at data or run a test to make evidence-based decisions; and as a bonus, you know your way around Google analytics/ Firebase.
- A person familiar with qualitative user research frameworks and understand experimentation models, including how to prioritize and run particular experiments across the marketing funnel.
- Someone who has worked with marketing tools and techniques like PPC, SEO, SEM, social media, and display advertising.
- A person who can think strategically, but is not afraid to roll up their sleeves and hands dirty.
- A person who is proficient and experienced in English and Swahili.
- Has 3-5 years of relevant experience.
- Bonus: A person experienced in working within a high-paced environment, such as a startup, and/or has had international work experience.
