Nairobi Garage is home to great innovators and techies and it’s always great to meet up, discuss and share advice and knowledge. We build and support each other to give startups in the space a lifeline and catapult them to success. One of the ways we do is through After Office Hours (AOH). After a long day’s work every Thursday at 5pm, we have a company within the space talk to us about certain topics relating to entrepreneurship and business. All this as we share drinks and snacks!
That said, its evidently clear how rewarding owing your own company can be. It however can be frustrating and very challenging in the beginning. So how do you navigate these rough waters? Come join us on April 23, 2015 at exactly 5 pm as we hear from KopoKopo, a merchant services platform available to banks, mobile network operators and 3rd parties worldwide.
KopoKopo will take us through their fundraising journey and how to get people to believe in on your idea. They will also take us through the challenges they faced and how they managed to get through.
Also along those lines one of the challenges in building your company is knowing when to expand and what or not to do. So on April 30, 2015 at 5 pm sharp we are excited to invite you as we hang out with Doug Galen, a Stanford MBA professor, angel investor and serial entrepreneur. Doug will be leading an interactive and mind-opening session on “scaling your business”. This special event is of course free but very important and you should come early as well as prepared to get all you can to take your business to the next level.
Mark also the 7th of May, 2015 at 5 pm as we hear from several investors and seed fund managers based at the Nairobi Garage space. These include Sinapis, Village Capital, TLCom and Voxtra. They will be telling us what exactly they look for when investing in startups and how you should position yourself to benefit.
Mark these dates and join us as we help you grow your business!
