About the Opportunity
Nairobi Garage is currently seeking a sales development coordinator . This individual will be responsible for working with a successful Sales team while helping to execute and achieve team sales goals. Our team is the front line of the sales process, which is why we need individuals who understand and are passionate about the Nairobi Garage experience.
The event coordinator will be responsible for managing calendar bookings, planning, organizing and executing internal member and external commercial events at our different Nairobi Garage locations. They will ensure events run smoothly and meet both client and organization standards. They will coordinate with members of different departments to handle logistics, budgeting, vendor management, and coordinate various event elements like venue set-up, catering, decor, and entertainment (where need arises).
- Planning and Logistics: executing event concepts, creating schedules and timelines, selecting venues, and managing on-site logistics.
- Vendor Management: Booking vendors (caterers, entertainment, etc.), negotiating contracts, and ensuring vendors perform their duties.
- Communication and Client Relations: Communicating with clients, vendors, and staff, addressing client concerns, and providing updates.
- On-site Management: Overseeing event setup, managing staff, and addressing any issues that arise during the event.
- Post-Event: Evaluating the event’s success, gathering feedback, and creating reports.
- Organizational Skills: Managing multiple tasks, schedules, and details.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication with clients, vendors, and staff.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Addressing issues and challenges that may arise during event planning and execution.
- Time Management Skills: Meeting deadlines and managing schedules effectively.
- Creativity and Innovation: Developing event concepts and themes.
- Adaptability: Adjusting plans and events based on client feedback and needs.
