Something exciting that will affect women in tech is being announced on 2 October 2017. The Standard Chartered Women in Tech Incubator, a collaboration between Standard Chartered Bank Kenya and Strathmore University, is going to be launched, and you are invited to attend!
The Standard Chartered Women in Tech Incubator is intended to assist in the creation of Africa’s finest leading women in tech. This program will boost the female-led entrepreneurial teams who need assistance in moving forward by providing them with the training, mentorship and seed funding that they need to achieve their goals.
There is an open call for all the women in the tech industry to participate and to bring forth their most fascinating ideas that they have for the future of the tech industry. The most captivating ideas will then be chosen and will go into a 12-week incubation period.
The incubation period will provide a nurturing environment that will build on the potential of the ideas brought forth during the first phase of the collaboration. At the end of the 12-week incubation period, five winners will be chosen. Each winner will be awarded $10 000 seed funding to invest in their business and to make their idea a reality.
