It’s always a pleasure hosting an event at the Nairobi Garage space. It’s even more fulfilling when it’s an event organized by a company sitting at the space.

Moringa school, which teaches app and web development, has been with us for long and we have seen it grow with students benefiting from the hands on approach taken during workshops .

Moringa in conjunction with Nairuby will be hosting a Ruby workshop this Saturday 28th March, 2015 at the Nairobi Garage from 9 am-5 pm.

The event will take students through the basics of HTML, Rails and GIT to assist in development of lean apps.

In the workshop students will also be able to build and deploy a simple rails app (Twitter clone) to Heroku.

The workshop has a few objectives among them;

-Build a simple Ruby-oriented program.

-Differentiate arrays and hashes.

-Build a simple Rails app from scratch

Students will be required to bring laptops preferably Mac’s (but other Pc’s are allowed), download a text editor such as Sublime, and also download Ruby and Rails.

Payment for the workshop is Ksh. 500 and it can be paid via MPESA to 0717301638 (confirmation to be emailed to you). If you would like to pay cash come to Nairobi Garage and ask to see ‘Audrey’ from Moringa School.
