Priscilla Muhiu appointed General Manager Glovo Kenya

Glovo has announced the appointment of Ms Priscilla Muhiu as the General Manager for Kenya.

She will take over from William Benthall, who has been appointed Glovo’s General Manager for Sub-Saharan Africa.

A press statement Tuesday indicates that prior to her appointment Ms Muhiu was the Africa Marketing Head for Glovo, where she led the team that successfully launched the Glovo brand in Kenya and Côte d’Ivoire.

Her previous experience includes working with tech companies such as Sendy and OLX.

“Following 13 years in business development and marketing nine of which have been spent working specifically with tech companies; Ms Muhiu has a wealth of industry knowledge in the field of growth, market strategy development and business modelling. She is also very passionate about solving problems in Africa through the use of innovative technologies,” read the statement.

Acknowledging the appointment Muhiu said she is delighted to be taking over from William Benthall as the General Manager for Kenya.

“I’m looking forward to continuing the good work that we have done here with Glovo, in a market that is very vibrant and full of promising prospects,” she added.

Glovo is an on-demand delivery platform that allows you to buy, collect and send any product or item within your city. Initiated in Barcelona, the company operates in over 650 cities in 22 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), North America (NA) Latin America (LATAM), and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Glovo has more than 2.5 million monthly active users, 50,000 active couriers and over 50,000 associated partners worldwide.
