Well, these are just some of the interesting facts about the continent but you can learn even more about the continent, thanks to the one company that is changing this narrative through an education trivia question that focuses on your desire to know more about the continent.
The company known as mSwali is a mobile-based learning games developer with origins in building learning games for the African market.
The company is on a mission to promote the desire & curiosity to know more within the African adult population. They do this by developing & promoting mobile-based learning games that are fun, rewarding & easily accessible.
The company who recently joined our Westlands Office Space, firmly believes that knowledge is power & that our learning games enhance knowledge to the players & enhances their overall well being.
Founded in July 2020, their flagship product, mSwali Quiz, is a USSD & app-based Quiz game whose topics focus on the localized African countries & the continent as a whole. The startup’s name is derived from m for mobile and Swali which is Swahili for Question.
About a week ago, mSwali announced that they had raised an undisclosed amount of money in pre-seed funding that will enable it expand its USSD *397# Quiz app to a web app, and open shop in South Africa.
“mSwali is a platform that aims to promote the desire & curiosity to know more, within the African adult population, using mobile-based learning games that are fun, rewarding & easily accessible. We believe knowledge is power & it enhances people’s overall well-being,” said Patrick Mungai, co-founder & CEO in a press statement.
Patrick also added, “There are very few mobile-based learning games focused on the African adult population & instead, we currently have a proliferation of hundreds of betting & gambling platforms across the continent. mSwali aims to counter this by attracting this population by adopting its learning games to the existing user behavior.”
On a quick chat with Patrick, he stated that his experience so far on working from Nairobi Garage was amazing citing the advantages that come with this that include ease to access the space and the flexibility of working from the multiple locations that Nairobi Garage has.
We couldn’t agree more with Patrick and we are glad to have mSwali as part of our ever-growing community.
mSwali now joins the likes of Weber Shandwick, a leading African PR Firm, Trama TecnoAmbiental (TTA), World’s largest solar provider, mdundo.com, and Shortlist, who are also part of Nairobi Garage business network.
