Can the Informal Sector in Africa use Digital Platforms to Leapfrog ?
The Liquid and Teridon Partnership has been in effect since December 2021. This Liquid and Teridon Partnership is yet another step in Liquid’s evolution as Africa’s leading digital solutions provider, offering superior Cloud, Cyber Security, and Managed IT services in addition to owning the largest independent fibre network on the continent.
The Liquid and Teridion partnership is one of the many partnerships Liquid Technologies has forged with leading firms to position themselves as leaders in the space. In Novemebr 2021, Liquid Intelligent Technologies and Orange, have entered a new partnership to leverage each other’s existing networks in Africa, allowing them even greater access and opportunity to build their businesses throughout the continent.
The Liquid and Orange partnership will give Liquid access to Orange’s extensive network in West Africa, including the new Djoliba network. Likewise, it will give Orange access to Liquid’s pan-African network. As a result, Liquid and Orange will offer end-to-end high-speed connectivity and services across their net.
In 202, Liquid also partnerd with Twiga Foods to increase agricultural productivity through precision farming. This partnership opened up a new world of opportunities, enabled by Kenya’s rapidly expanding Internet of Things (IoT) network.
Liquid Intelligent Technologies deployed a complete precision agriculture IoT system to improve farm productivity at Twiga’s Takuwa farm.
The system included four different types of agriculture sensors: a comprehensive weather station, soil moisture and temperature probes, borehole water meters, and sensors for measuring irrigation water acidity and salinity.
The system takes advantage of Liquid Telecom’s extensive low-power wide-area IoT network using 0G Sigfox technology covering 85% of the population in Kenya at lower costs than other technologies.
