Our member Inuka Africa is looking for the head of coaching and performance.
The primary role of the Head of Coaching and performance is to ensure excellent coaching service and delivery through the proper management of coaches. To develop and improve upon the existing coaching management framework in order to contribute towards Inuka’s business growth goals.
Coaching management and performance – 60%
Lead the development of the coaching performance framework for Inuka Africa Coaches – set coaching objectives and deliverables that align with Inuka’s business
Deliver on the coaching performance framework and report weekly to Inuka Africa
Assess and report on coach performance in order to form a high-quality coaching team that meets our growing client
Develop and deliver ongoing learning curriculum for coaches and conduct weekly training/check-ins with coaches to improve
Lead client wellness check-in sessions, client mental health talks and
Lead client feedback sessions/questionnaires around their coaching experience to continuously provide solutions on how best to improve
Provide bi-weekly reports on coaching insights and intelligence to the core team and provide recommendations.
Lead any recruitment, assessment and training of Inuka
Contribute and Deliver on Empathy Training Workshops for B2B clients (leaders, people-oriented roles etc).
Participate in media talks; both online and offline as the Head of Coaching Inuka
Conduct 1 research per quarter and write papers or contribute to blogs, social media, media opportunities on mental health, employee health & productivity that positively positions Inuka as the authority in mental Total of 4 research papers per year.
Coach supervision & reporting – 40%
Supervise all coaching chats conducted by coaches on the relevant digital platforms (WhatsApp-FreshChats, Inuka App or other).
Conduct 1-on-1 debrief meetings with coaches or recommend alternative support options if
Lead and mentor the super coach who will report to you on
Identify key learning opportunities for coaches to strengthen good performance and high-quality coaching delivery. for Inuka to generate client leads or new
Conduct weekly meetings with Head of Coaching NL and report on coaching
Improve on and enforce existing coaching policy and processes to.
Experience
7-10 years minimum of experience within a leadership role, ideally HR management, and/or other people-oriented roles within an organization, practice or health-care (private or public sector).
Masters degree or higher in psychology; Cognitive behavioural therapy, problem-solving therapy.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proven coaching/counselling/therapy experience with 1-on-1
Track record of over-achieving quota
Strong phone/online contact handling skills and active listening. Remote
Familiar with digital systems and practices – WhatsApp, Apps
Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
Key performance indicators.
Leadership and development of coaching framework to improve coaching management aligned with Inuka Africa’s business
Improve Coaching performance levels – 5/5 start coaching quality. 82% of users go from at-risk back to resilient in 4-8 sessions.
Drive client uptake of Inuka service: run Inuka coaching program (4-6 sessions) for employees and Uptake of 10% and maintain no less than 3% minimum.
Positioning Inuka as an authority figure in mental health, employee health & productivity through communication
Lead Weekly coaching check-ins and performance meetings with coaches
Report weekly to Inuka Africa CEO – on coach performance, problem-solving & decision-making.
Lead bi-weekly reporting on; coaching performance, coaching insights & intelligence, coaching policies with Inuka Africa CEO & weekly meetings with Head of Coaching
Communication ability
Ability to communicate transparently to management and raise key issues critical to coaching quality and maintaining high standards. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and written form; lead team meetings and make presentations on insights/findings.
Work environment
Work will be mostly remote however weekly/bi-weekly meetings at Inuka’s office space (Nairobi Garage Space) will be required for team meetings, special events or working meetings. Occasional travel to client or media locations will also be required.
