The holidays are here! Happy Holidays! We all here at Nairobi Garage had an amazing 2017 with all our Garage members and we would like to thank you for all the support throughout the year. We hope you have an amazing festive season, rest easy and we look forward to working with you in 2018
To celebrate the festive season, we asked our team to share their highlights from 2017, what the holidays mean to them, and their resolutions for 2018:
Stellah Njeru
What were your 2017 highlights at Nairobi Garage?
Opening the new space at Pinetree – it was tough, but well worth the hard work we all put in.
What is one wish you have for our members in 2018?
Wishing them MORE in all their plans, MORE creating, MORE connecting and MORE co-working.
When someone says, “Christmas”, what is the first thing you think of?
Family time, I hope everyone creates time for anyone they consider family in this season.
What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2018?
Creating a better morning routine. I believe that it’ll give me a better chance for many successful days.
Joan Magua

Joining Nairobi Garage, meeting and working with amazing people.
What is one wish you have for our members in 2018?

Celebrations and lots of eating

Making a positive impact on someone’s life… that gives me a lot of satisfaction and happiness.

What were your 2017 highlights at Nairobi Garage?
Relocating to a bigger Ngong Road space. It’s so beautiful!

More profits, business stability, and great health.

A decorated Christmas tree and a reindeer.

Joining the Nairobi Garage Team.

What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2018?
I’d love to get to know each member in our space.

What were your 2017 highlights at Nairobi Garage?
- Opening the new branch
- Getting to know our community who I love and respect so much!
What is one wish you have for our members in 2018?
We all generally use the end of the year to reflect and to look forward. My wish is for us all to slay 2018.
When someone says, “Christmas”, what is the first thing you think of?
Christmas cake and a beach… reindeers from time to time but that usually comes when I hear Christmas carols.
What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2018?
- I am determined to start learning some new skills every month to help me develop professionally and personally – really want to take up something up that’s ambitious
- Connect to what is my core and my “why” – to drive me, stay engaged and motivate me when it gets bumpy
- Give back to the community
- Take mistakes and lessons and translate energy and wisdom into moving forward and not looking back

What were your 2017 highlights at Nairobi Garage?
Attending more parties than I could ever think of. Honestly, the Garage has made me live life to the fullest. I’m grateful.
What is one wish you have for our members in 2018?
That their new year is full of prosperity and nothing but good.
When someone says, “Christmas”, what is the first thing you think of?
Uhm…Jesus?
What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2018?
That we all get along and respect each other. To help each other out with our various day to day tasks.
Hannah Clifford
What were your 2017 highlights at Nairobi Garage?
Moving to our lovely new building on Ngong Road, and leaving behind our old place above Brew. Bittersweet because of all the memories there, but mostly sweet because some many of our family followed us and it’s amazing to see everyone loving the new space.
What is one wish you have for our members in 2018?
I wish that everyone has their best year yet, raises a lot of money and grows like crazy.
When someone says, “Christmas”, what is the first thing you think of?
Roast parsnips
What are your New Year’s resolutions for 2018?
So many – eat healthier, drink less, work out more, be more present, wear dresses more often.

What were your 2017 highlights at Nairobi Garage?
With the high growth speed of the company, it demanded a lot, and I feel I became more efficient, responsible and reliable.
What is one wish you have for our members in 2018?
May the coming year be more rewarding for both of us and our business flourish together, and a happy new year ahead!

2017 was interesting but a difficult year as well. As Garage community let’s all be determined to make 2018 the best business and creative year of our lives.
