Asoko Insight, Africa Capital Digest get into New Data Partnership

Our member Asoko Insight and Africa Capital Digest, two of Africa’s leading business-to-business information providers, have announced a strategic content partnership to provide African private equity deal data on Asoko Insight’s platform.

Through the new data partnership, content which will be sourced from Africa Capital Digest’s current and future deal market coverage as well as 4 years’ worth of historical deal and market coverage, will form the foundation of a new private equity product module for Asoko Insight. It is anticipated that the new module will be available by early Q1 2019.

The collaboration builds on each company’s strengths to deliver an unrivalled solution to dealmakers interested and involved in Africa’s private equity opportunity. The array of data that will be available will include, wherever possible, information on the buyers and sellers of the continent’s privately-held companies, stake size and amount invested for each deal as well as details of the professionals and advisory companies involved in executing the transactions.

Both organizations anticipate the partnership will also lead to the co-development of additional private equity-related digital media and information products. By tracking and analyzing Africa Capital Digest’s exclusive market coverage and leveraging the functionality of Asoko’s technology platform, there will be opportunities to offer additional regular and ad hoc market-driven private equity data and content products to customers. These will appear across Africa Capital Digest’s digital channels as well as Asoko Insight’s digital platform.
