Congratulations to our member Africa Logistics Properties (ALP) for bagging the Green Building Award at the 18th Energy Management Awards.
ALP has been at the forefront of building green and sustainable developments since 2017 and in March 2022 #ALP became the first African signatory to the world green building councils #netzerocarbon building commitment.
Africa Logistics Properties (ALP) is a specialist integrated property investment & development company that acquires, develops and manages modern Grade A warehouses across East Africa.

The awards received this year include:

- Electricity savings award for large consumers.
- Energy management.

- Overall energy management.
Launched in 2004 by the GEF-KAM Energy Efficiency Project, a predecessor of the Centre of Energy Efficiency and Conservation (CEEC).
CEEC based at KAM champions energy and resource efficiency in the country, the purpose of the Awards is to recognize enterprises that have achieved outstanding Speaking at the award ceremony in Nairobi on Friday, the Kenya Association of Manufacturers’ acting chief executive Tobias Alando lauded the progress towards securing the future of the local industry by promoting energy efficiency and conservation among our Members.
“This is because we recognize that energy efficiency is one way of harnessing energy services and security, lowering the cost of goods and services, thereby improving competitiveness, creating jobs, and alleviating poverty,” he noted.
KAM Chairman Mucai Kunyiha further said they appreciate companies making green growth moves. “The energy cost is beyond our control due to global factors. Companies that embrace energy efficiency will become successful now and in the future.”
The Energy Management Awards are convened annually by KAM to recognize industrial and commercial enterprises that have demonstrated excellence in energy efficiency and conservation.
The 2022 EMA Awards was themed “Pathway to Net Zero”. For us at Nairobi Garage it’s a huge congratulations to #TeamALP and we are glad to be associated with such a great brand.
