April 6, 2018Africa has some of the most beautiful countries and people that you can find in the world. It is not surprising that this month, we at Nairobi Garage are dedicating the month of April to Art and Design. To start us off on this beautiful journey of artistic discovery, we will be focusing on some of the coworking office spaces found in Africa that tantalises our taste buds with their different approach to architectural design.
Take a look at some of the wonderful Coworking Office Spaces we found in Africa:
The Graft Yard – Johannesburg
Situated in the hustle and bustle in one of South Africa’s busiest cities, is a coworking space where ideas, work ethics and purpose come to life! The Graft Yard’s design boasts open spaces with a unique design that mimics a peaceful surrounding allowing for inspiration and collaboration. It is not just a coworking space, it is a place for great minds to connect, learn, express and grow.

Work & Co – Cape Town
Cape Town is known for many beautiful sceneries, from the Winelands and of course the legendary Table Mountain. Situated in amongst all this beauty is the Work & Co Coworking area. With amazing views, the natural light and the beauty of the space have been magnified by Andrea Graff’s design and her selection of one-off furniture pieces – a place where it’s really a pleasure to work.

Workshed Africa – Ghana
Situated in the middle of the commercial and residential establishments of Ghana, the Workshed Africa Coworking space is conveniently located close to several points of interest. Located in the bustling Baatsona quarter of the Spintex Road, they have created a serene working environment, offering startups a perfect blend of what they need to make their visions and goals come to life.

Kili Hub – Tanzania
Home to Africa’s largest mountain, Tanzania is known for its vast wilderness areas, the plains of Serengeti National Park, and a safari mecca populated by the “big five” game. Nestled amongst all this natural beauty we found Kili Hub. Kili Hub is more than just a building, it’s an inspiring community of changemakers. A space where innovation and collaboration collide through opportune moments and serendipitous meetings.

Kamba @ fabrica de Sabao – Angola
For us this is the perfect example of where creativity meets design. The Co-Working space, known as Kamba, (which means buddy in the local language) provides the ideal environment for creative idea-generation, peer-to-peer networking and mentoring workshops. The beautifully refurbished shipping containers have also been used for co-working spaces designed to encourage rich interactions and cross pollination of ideas.
