Growth in tech is highly dependent on supportive mechanisms including but not limited to exposure and funding.
YPO Forum-which is a global business network of CEO’s whose companies have an annual turnover of over $12 million-, is hosting a forum to showcase tech in Kenya to be held at Nairobi Garage.
With a membership of over 26,000 worldwide and 65 in the Nairobi Chapter, YPO seeks to understand what challenges entrepreneurs face and how they can offer mentoring. The forum at Nairobi Garage will also help the YPO members to identify startups that can use their organizations as test beds as well as invest in if the founders want that.
In doing this also, YPO hopes to understand the capabilities of Kenya’s tech scene as well as opportunities that medium and large corporates can leverage.
Being a hub with many startups, we as Nairobi Garage are taking the lead and will have some of our members including Kibarua Now, Movas and HiviSasa sharing their journeys with the YPO members.
Other tech hubs within Nairobi will also field startups in their spaces to share the same in short 5 minute pitching sessions which will immediately be followed up by Q&A slots.
We are certainly looking forward to a very informative session on May 28th from 5pm-9pm.
