It is in relation to this that She Loves Tech, has created the environment necessary for female-led startups to thrive through the world’s largest startup competition for women and technology.
Now in its seventh edition, the competition has opened its application entry and now extending its deadline to 15 August 2021 at 11:59 pm (GMT +8) and will be offering prizes of up to US$50,000.
She Loves Tech is an international non-profit organization that is committed to closing the funding gap for women-led and women impact entrepreneurs.
The competition is one of the largest startup competitions for women and technology, seeking and accelerating the best entrepreneurs and technology for transformative impact.
They champion the best entrepreneurs through education and mentorship, working closely with our partners to create a global ecosystem for women in technology.
Since its inception, the global non-profit organization has committed to closing the funding gap for women entrepreneurs and building an ecosystem for technology, entrepreneurship, and innovation that creates opportunities for women.
Fundraising will be front and center this year and this pitch round will be held across over 40 countries. Partners of the event include ATAST, Beijing Women’s International Center, Circle, Girls in Tech Macau, Gobi Partners, Hatch, and the Kerala Startup Mission.
Last year, She Loves Tech announced the new mission to catalyze $1-billion funding for startups coming through the program by 2030.
Startups can expect increased funding and one-on-one opportunities with leading VCs, mentoring hours, and direct cash and investment prizes throughout the series.
Alumni startups from previous years have received over $250-million in aggregate funding from some of the world’s top investors, including Sequoia Capital, Vertex Ventures, Wavemaker, Microsoft, and Amazon.
“She Loves Tech 2021 is more than a competition, it is an acceleration platform designed to take women-led and women impact startups to the next level,” remarks co-founder Leanne Robers. Previous participants include Arianna Huffington (Co-Founder & CEO, Thrive Global), Ann Cairns (Executive Vice Chair, Mastercard), and Mahmoud Mohieldin (UN Special Envoy on Financing the 2030 Agenda).

The global competition will focus on African tech startups this year, and emerged winners will be wrapped in $50,000 to $50,000,000 prizes. Also in this year, fundraising will be the main focus, with the pitching round taking place in over 40 nations. The event’s partners include ATAST, Beijing Women’s International Center, Circle, Girls in Tech Macau, Gobi Partners, Hatch, and the Kerala Startup Mission to name a few.
Shortlisted startups will get an opportunity to meet investors, get mentorship and funding support, free access to Knowledge workshops, and opening to pitch at global events, it added.
