The company also produces local milestone-based accelerator programs focusing on validation and scalability. They also hold investor programs, connecting leading African startups with local and foreign investors.
Pangea is also involved in a variety of smaller and larger scale projects, in the fields of African development and urbanization and presents a series of events, centered around topics of African development, investing, startup ecosystems, and politics.
In 2018, Pangea in partnership with Habitat for Humanity’s Terwilliger Center for Innovation in Shelter and BDO EA launched the ShelterTech 2018 program in Kenya.
The program supported 30 startups working in energy, water, and general housing construction technology, and worked towards supporting these startups to grow their businesses, connect with mentors and advisors, and gain exposure to investors.
The mission of the program is to find, train and support the most promising entrepreneurs addressing challenges in housing, water and sustainable energy for marginalized Kenyan populations.
Pangea and its partners are currently working towards launching the second ShelterTech Accelerator program.
