Akili Kids Kenya’s First and only free-to-air children’s learning channel has launched a new TV Show advocating for cyber security among kids.
Dubbed Flash Squad, the show is a multi-platform comedy series with serious cyber safety and security learning opportunities for 10 – to 17-year-old children, set in Kenya with Kenyan Teens.
The program that was launched on Friday comprises 9 episodes, 5 to 7minutes each. The script follows three Kenyan teens who create an after-school Computer Club that becomes a cyber-defense team, protecting their friends, school, families, and each other from all manner of cyber threats.
Directed by Gosia Lukomska, Jesse Soleil and June Ndinya each of these archetypical characters have their own personality quirks, digital specialties, interests, and vulnerabilities.
The show premiered on May 26th at 7:30 pm on Akili Kids TV! Under Akili Fam! An evening block on Akili Kids! That was launched in December 2021.
