1776 is hosting it’s 2nd edition of the 1776 Challenge Cup Regionals here, in Nairobi!
We’re very excited to be partnering with iHub to host the coaching and mentoring sessions, and you can bet we’ll be attending the final competition at Kenya National Theatre on the 18th of February from 6pm.
The regional round will put local startups against competition from all around Africa, before moving the winners on up to the Global Finals to be held in Washington D.C in June.
Seeing as we won last time (Go bananas, Twiga! 🙂 ), we’re hoping that the Kenyan teams are bringing their A games! There is over $1 million in prizes to be won, not to mention opportunities to meet up and share with some of the most exciting startups and investors on the planet. Local teams include our alumni Moringa School, Boresha, Lipacard Kenya, Angaza Boma, LishaBora Hydroponics, Illuminum Greenhouses Kenya, Mumcare.org, Valuraha Group, and Ma3Route.
1776, a global incubator and seed fund, looks for promising and highly scalable startups providing solutions in agriculture, cities/transportation, cybersecurity, education, energy, health, and finance.

This is going to be good!
