About The Speaker

Sisule Musungu is the Managing Partner and Team Leader for Intellectual Property (IP) at Sisule and Associates. He is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over 20 years post-admission experience, a patent agent, Certified Public Secretary (CS.), chartered arbitrator, notary public and commissioner for oaths.

Sisule is also a recognised international IP expert, and he has undertaken speaking and consultancy assignments on this subject in more than 35 countries, including several African countries and across Australia, Bhutan, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Moldova, Netherlands, Saint Lucia, Thailand, Tonga, Turkey, United States, Vanuatu and Switzerland.

He is widely published on IP matters and has consulted for a wide range of international and regional organisations including, Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), UNAIDS, World Health Organization (WHO) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
