Everybody defines leadership differently but irrespective of how you define a leader, he or she can prove to be a difference maker between success and failure.
Let’s face it, without good leadership, all other business elements lie dormant. Strong leaders can help an organization to maximize productivity and achieve business goals, whereas weak leadership can hurt productivity and put the health of the business in risk.
Leadership is not one blanket characteristic that cures all ills, however, there are many different elements that must be present for an organization’s leadership to be considered adequate.
So what does it take to be a strong leader? How effective and important is good leadership to your business? And what are some of the red flags that you might be missing in your leadership skills or in your management team?
Join us for our Next After Office Hours with Dr. James Mworia, CEO Centum Investment Limited as we talk all things business leadership. Dr Mworia will also share his inspiring story on his rise in Centum’s leadership from an intern to the C-Level, a position he has held for over a decade now.
Mr Mworia has excelled at implementing Centum’s earlier decision to invest big in areas such as real estate and fast-moving consumer goods, raising debt, selling some assets and structuring joint ventures to fund the capital-intensive projects.
The ventures have grown in value, allowing the company to book multi-billion-shilling gains and ultimately satisfying the bonus payment criteria of clocking a minimum return of 15 per cent on net assets each year.
You do not want to miss out on this!
The event will take place on 27th June, from 6pm to 7pm, 7th Floor Nairobi Garage, Pinetree Plaza.
