We could not be more eager for Thursday 22nd to come already! We are so privileged to have internationally renowned and amongst the top 10 makeup artists in Kenya Muthoni Njoba and as our next AOH speaker.
Muthoni discovered her passion for makeup at just 9 years old. After completing her undergraduate Degree in Communications, Media, Culture & Psychology at Oxford Brookes University, England, she moved back to Nairobi eager to pursue a part time career in Make-up as she continued working at Centum Investment Ltd.
With an entrepreneurial spirit and drive in her, Muthoni established the first studio in East Africa that specialised in offering Make-up services only. Since then, Muthoni Njoba became the first Kenyan Make-up Artist to be recruited as the Lead Brand Ambassador of L’Oreal and Official Make-up Artist of Maybelline New York Kenya. She won Make-up Artist of Year 2015 at the Kenya Fashion Awards which awards an outstanding Kenyan Make-up Artist who has made a significant impact within the Kenyan Fashion Industry and has worked backstage at New York Fashion week for 3 seasons. She worked on models for fashion designers such as Jason Wu, DKNY, Jonathan Simkhai, Opening Ceremony, Baja East, Public School, Marrisa Webb, Brock, Beauffile and Ji Oh, Nicole Miller, Rebecca Minkoff, Band of Outsiders and Opening Ceremony. This was a great achievement for her being the very first Kenyan make-up artist to be flown from Nairobi to New York to work at Fashion Week and works side by side with world renowned Make-up Artists such as Tom Pecheux.
Join us on 22nd March at Nairobi Garage, M2 Mirage building for an inspiring talk by Muthoni Njoba. The talk will start at 6pm and end at 7pm
