Meeting Rooms // 4 Great Locations within Nairobi

Nairobi boosts a legendary status of being a center of global business, a vacationer’s playground, and an urban jungle with something to offer everyone, attracts visitors from all over the world.

What sets it apart as the perfect meeting venue is the balance between work and play  it offers to make it the most fascinating place on earth to host events! With so much happening in the city, looking for a place to host your next meeting at times can be slightly hectic.

With the noise and confusion that is with the Nairobi Central Business District from traffic, to hooting matatus and people, getting out of the city once in a while to have your meeting is ideal. We have since divided the city into four locations that will take you a few minutes to drive and shared a number of places and facilities that you can check out while looking out for your next meeting facility

Kilimani

Kilimani is home to hilly hiking trails in Nairobi Arboretum and to Uhuru Park, where the imposing Freedom Corner memorial honors victims of the 1950s colonial regime.

Contemporary African artists display their wares at Kuona Artists Collective, while the FCB Mihrab building offers a modern take on Islamic architecture. Trendy cafes and global restaurants cluster around the mainstream Yaya Centre mall as well.

Just about 10 minutes’ drive from the Central Business District, and about 20 kilometers from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and 11 kilometers from the Wilson Airport. It is within easy access to major support services which includes shopping malls, restaurants, Nairobi Golf Course and Nairobi National Park. Kilimani is quickly also seeing growth in the number of office spaces coming up daily. Just like Westlands and Upperhill, Kilimani is also turning out to be a commercial place hence the rise in demand for workspaces and also making it an ideal place for meetings away from the hassle of the city.

It is also home to a number of tech hubs and coworking spaces that provide great ambience for meeting rooms, one such place is the Nairobi Garage Kilimani. Located off Ngong’ Road on Pinetree Plaza, Nairobi Garage offers some of the city’s most flexible, modern and comfortable meeting rooms and boardrooms

If you’re in need of a professional space to meet, we have meeting rooms and boardrooms to hire that can accommodate 4 people up to 30 people. Upperhill

Upper Hill was historically one of the residential neighbourhoods of the city of Nairobi, during colonial times. The 280 hectares (700 acres) that comprise Upper Hill were majorly owned by Kenya Railways.

During the 1990s and early 2000s, as land and office space became scarce and exorbitantly priced in the central business district, businesses relocated to Upper Hill and Westlands, where land and office space were more readily available and less expensive.

Today, Upper Hill possesses a new modern skyline that is still being filled by modern skyscrapers of different and prestigious designs in the architectural world.

There are several landmarks, in the area including the Britam Tower-A 200 metre skyscraper that houses an insurance company. UAP-OLD MUTUAL tower-A 163 metre tower, the regional headquarters of UAP holdings. Prism tower, a new upscale property along Ngong road. KCB towers- The new headquarters of KCB bank.

It is also home to a number of prestigious hotels including, Radisson Blu and Crowne Plaza, which offer ideal meeting and conferencing facilities for the multi-national companies. Radisson Blu for instance offers a new global international hotel that stands out to be one of the prestigious and the largest conference facilities in Kenya.

This hotel has 12 meeting rooms and boardrooms, including a 590m2 ballroom all boasting natural daylight and the latest technical equipment.

But once in a while when you need to step out of the office, take a drive to a quick meeting, you can always pop-in at Nairobi Garage Kilimani, the space is easily accessible from that side of town.

Westlands

During the 1990s and early 2000s, as land and office space became scarce and exorbitantly priced in the central business district, more businesses have relocated to Westlands and Upper Hill, where land and office space are more readily available and less expensive.

Today, Westlands constituency contains some of the highest income areas in Nairobi. Some seriously ambitious companies and some extremely bright minds also gather together to make things happen.

Currently, Westlands is home to some of the leading companies and embassies including The Embassy of Norway to Kenya, The Embassy of Sweden to Kenya, Price Water Couper (PWC) Kenya Headquarters, Offices of Swiss International Airlines, making it a welcoming place for ex-pats.

We recently shared a number of reasons why we love Nairobi Garage Westlands, which is our latest addition. While there are a number of state-of-the art cafés and hotels in Westlands that offer conferencing facilities like the Golden Tulip and Sankara, Nairobi Garage Delta matches up to these facilities offering 4 boardrooms each with a screen, video conferencing equipment and a kinetic white board.

Virtual meetings all day? Not a problem, in addition to the four meeting rooms, Nairobi Garage also offers dedicated video conferencing rooms bookable for small teams, with big screens and all the tech. and while hosting your meeting with us we also have five soundproofed  booths that provide comfortable sanctuaries for conducting private calls. Not forgetting free coffee and Tea through out the day.

Karen

Karen is a vibrant residential suburb characterized by big mansions, many trees, tranquil atmosphere, and plush gardens this is due to the areas minimum acreage requirement for all homeowners.

Karen is also a center for many upscale restaurants and hotels in the city, offering cuisines from around the country and the world. Though further down the road and could take you longer from the CBD Karen is a residential area in Nairobi.

Working from home and you need a professional place to hold your meeting? Well, Nairobi Garage Karen offers you just that. Located at the Watermark Business Park, Nairobi Garage Karen has state of the art meeting rooms with a minimum capacity of 2 delegates and a maximum of 30 pax.
