Core Platform Engineering (CPE), provides networking, infrastructure, and service technology that Microsoft’s lines of business teams build upon.
CPE provides a reliable, stable, and secure operational infrastructure backbone, delivering compelling user experiences and accelerating business outcomes.
In addition to running infrastructure services for Microsoft, CPE work also includes: designing, building, and scaling SAP, as the world’s largest customer of this software; implementing Dynamics 365 across Microsoft, which drives Azure consumption; and Connect the Enterprise through Azure Integration and Authorization Services that empower Microsoft and its partners to transact business in a secure and reliable platform.
CPE also includes the Supply Chain engineering team that writes the software we use for building, shipping, and repairing, Microsoft devices, including Surface, Xbox, and HoloLens.
CPE is part of the Core Services Engineering and Operations (CSEO) organization which builds and manages the critical products, processes and services that Microsoft runs on.

About the speaker
As General Manager of the Core Platform Engineering organization (CPE), Ludo leads the team responsible for building, modernizing, and running the core services and platforms that drive Microsoft’s digital transformation. It further provides networking, infrastructure, and service technology for Microsoft’s lines of business teams to build upon. CPE’s work also includes:
i. Implementing Dynamics 365 across Microsoft, which drives Azure consumption
ii. Connecting the Enterprise through Azure Integration and Authorization Services that empower Microsoft and its partners to transact business in a secure and reliable platform.
In addition, Ludo leads the team responsible for Microsoft’s end to end supply chain strategy, which enables the creation of Microsoft’s Xbox and Surface devices.
Mr. Hauduc joined Microsoft in 1994 and has held a variety of engineering and business leadership positions that includes General Manager for the Office Fundamentals team, General Manager for the Microsoft Project Business, Director of Engineering for the Office Developer Platform and Ecosystem, and Group Engineering Manager in Excel.
Ludo’s strong commitment to operational excellence, innovative approach to business problems, and aptitude for partnering cross-functionally has enabled his organization to produce significant business value for Microsoft in the form of reliable, efficient infrastructure that has the capacity to handle Microsoft’s business needs today and for decades to come.
