In May 2018, mSurvey, a mobile-first platform that uses mobile messaging to enable scalable conversations that improve the relationship between businesses and their customers, announced a Venture Capital raise of $3.5m, to help its continued growth in Africa, as well as build on its infrastructure and partnerships.
It is in line with this, that we are privileged to have Kenfield Graffith, CEO and Co-founder of mSurvey host our next AOH Nairobi Garage series.
Themed as “Growing businesses in Africa through customer feedback and using technology,” Kenfield will seek to help businesses understand best what their clients feel about them, as companies across the continent start to make the connection between reducing Customer Acquisition Costs [CCA] and Customer Retention Costs [CRC], with bottom line being profitability.
Originally from the Caribbean island nation of Montserrat, Kenfield is the CEO and Co-founder of mSurvey. Kenfield holds PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he studied Design and Computation, looking at data automation and computation using cloud computing for remote areas.
In his day to day work, Kenfield focuses on designing better products and utilizing methodologies for high-quality (data) feedback loops. Using case studies in Africa and LATAM, Kenfield developed an end to end technology while at MIT to provide high-quality data to businesses through structured conversations with consumers, to drive business growth in emerging markets.
Prior to starting mSurvey, Kenfield worked at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a COUHES Research Analyst covering countries like Kenya, Trinidad and Tobago.
Built out of a passion to simplify access to high-quality insights from hard-to-reach communities, mSurvey was developed to bring hidden and offline voices into the global conversation. MSurvey’s products are used by a range of businesses across emerging markets; from Safaricom, the creators of M-PESA to Java, the Starbucks of Africa.
Today, mSurvey is revolutionizing how businesses create interactive and individual relationships with their customers by providing unprecedented access to real-time, direct feedback that drives business growth and profitability through conversations at scale.
mSurvey design and data collection processes are also based under Protocol#: 1105004501 and are part of the Institutional Review Board (IRB)
