They are looking for an organized, detail-oriented, cheerful Office & Operations Manager to manage the office and improve operations. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, the Operations Manager will need to have excellent management, financial and people skills. They will also need to manage costs, evaluate priorities and constantly maintain a high standard in your work and the team around you. The position contributes to the development and implementation of organizational strategies, policies and practices.This is a full-time position based at the wPOWER Hub in Nairobi, Kenya (or internationally, preferably at the GBMI Offices overseas in New York City and London). While not the primary source of climate pollution, inefficient lighting and cooking contribute to climate change, the degradation of natural resources, health problems and a variety of other challenges. The Department of State launched the Partnership on Women’s Entrepreneurship in Renewables (“wPOWER”) in January 2013. The mission of wPOWER is to promote the central role of women in clean energy entrepreneurship to improve energy access and in addressing climate change. wPOWER aims to empower more than 8,000 women clean energy entrepreneurs globally who will deliver clean energy access to more than 3.5 million people.
