In the last couple of the days, you have definitely come across #The5th or simply ‘the fifth’ across the different Social Outlets.
Following the recent occurrences, this term, the fifth evokes a certain emotion and could resonate with us differently.
As we close down on the electioneering period, maybe it’s time we brought a breath of fresh air to #The5th and yes you got it right!
You’ve probably seen it on the local dailies and across all our social media platforms! We couldn’t let #The5th Wave pass us by, but for all the good reasons and especially for the different enterprises that form our business community!
So here we go! We have opened #The5th Location in Nairobi CBD! Yes we also have our own version of #The5th and we couldn’t be any happier!
Located on the 20th Century Plaza off Mama Ngina Street, our new space now covers 12,000 sq feet in high-quality, competitive-rent, serviced workspace, on demand from new-style businesses keen for network and prestige.
The new space now brings our total space to over 100,000 sq ft. The launch of the Nairobi Garage CBD on a two-floor business hub comes at a time when the district’s renewal and planned fast-access transport links spur demand from new kinds of businesses seeking stylish and versatile workspace.
The hub is the fifth location for Nairobi Garage and is being opened in response to rising requests for modern workspace within the city’s former business heart.
“We have seen an uptick in requests for CBD facilities, which is the clearest signal that can exist for a new need,” said Nairobi Garage director Hannah Clifford.
CBD had moved into decline in recent years, with many large businesses lured away to more glamourous areas, such as Upper Hill and Westland’s, as aging transport links into the rundown city centre generated increasingly challenging commuter congestion.
CBD Shifting Markedly
Despite several more closures of large buildings in 2022, CBD has seen a flurry of developments, a public face lift and new footpaths, the commissioning of a 21st-Century central rail station, and the announcement of new exit links from the city’s high-speed Expressway.
“A CBD that is, once again, open, elegant, and rapid-to-access, offers an unequalled proposition as the country’s largest commercial concentration, but also requires new types of workspaces. There is little interest in the old, small, cranky workspaces that characterised the centre in recent years. The new businesses moving to the centre of the city want premium space at competitive prices,” said our Director, Hannah Clifford.
For those working in the city centre, the abundance of eateries, restaurants, cafes, and services for professionals, who may only have lunch hours to run errands, add to the district’s advantages. But its abiding strength is its location.
“CBD’s central position, alongside government and some of our finest education facilities, offers unique advantages. Moreover, for professionals in Eastleigh, Upper Hill and Westlands are much harder to reach. For all these reasons, a revitalised CBD is already capturing new attention and interest,” said Luna Ruffo
Currently we provide workspaces to many multinationals and Tier 1 businesses at its four existing hubs, similarly caters for individual consultants and vibrant small businesses.
This mix helps businesses establish new business networks, while providing a complete service, from presentation rooms to kitchens, reception, and comprehensive business services.
“In reviewing the greatest strategic opportunity for expansion, we are in no doubt that the CBD Renaissance now underway has created a perfect opportunity for hosted workspaces with the kind of connections and prestige that Nairobi Garage offer,” said Luna Ruffo
