This week on our co-working segment, we feature betahaus | Berlin, a co-working space located in Kreuzberg, one of the trendiest districts of Berlin.
Betahaus opened it’s doors 6 years ago. Back then the meaning of “coworking” hadn’t really been defined, therefore it is safe to say that it originally served as a pioneer in the field. The idea of betahaus was to to create a collaborative work environment where different people (entrepreneurs, freelancers, designers, writers, web developers, marketing minds, account and project managers, …) can feel comfortable working on their own projects, while having the possibility of sharing, engaging and in essence, creating together with others. It also serves as the biggest co-working space in Berlin, with approximately 3500 square meters of office space and 400 active members. Moreover, in the past few years it has expanded to Hamburg, Barcelona and Sofia, making it one of the biggest tech hubs in Europe.
With memberships suited to all needs, various education and mentoring programs & a quickly filling agenda of events and workshops, betahaus has established itself as more than just a regular co-working space. Over the years it has turned into a centre of culture and diversity, with a very flexible international mentality. It has become a creative network for those working and learning at the space, their friends, and colleagues.
None of this would be possible without a strong bond between betahaus team, it’s members and the broader community. Some of the features include 1 to 1 mentoring within the Office Hours, legal advice, beta breakfast every week and after work beta beer once a month. There are plenty of other events being hosted at the space, such as accelerator & incubator pitch days, investor days, various festivals and much more. Bottom line – there is always something happening, new people to meet, exchange & share.
If you ever happen to be in Berlin, make sure to pop by the beta breakfast which takes place every Thursday at 9:30. A breakfast ticket costs 10€ and also includes the tour of the house (begins at 11:30) and a day of coworking. Now that’s what we call a good deal. Don’t miss out on this!
P.S. A very special thank you goes to Katy from betahaus team for finding time to give us the inside scoop of their wonderful space!
